Thank so much for taking an interest in my work!

I am a junior designer currently residing in Charles Town, WV -- my home town -- a quiet and rustic area with a lot of character. A short drive through the farmlands brought me to my place of study, Shepherd University, where after four years and a lot of hard work I earned a BFA in Graphic Design in 2015.

During my years as a student I developed the skills I utilize now in my professional life, from the technical understanding of tools including the Adobe Suite and traditional illustration and craft, to the work ethic and speed in execution necessary to working in a fast-paced environment.

Shortly following my graduation I began my career at DALB Inc., where I am currently working for i6. The company specializes in the design and manufacturing of specialty laminates, tickets, and other paraphernalia for the entertainment industry. Clientele range from musicians to sports teams, giving the designs a broad variety when it comes to style, speed, and provided materials. Jobs move quickly, and require a close eye for detail. I have designed for multiple substrates, including foil, multiple paper stocks, wood, and most markedly lenticular. A close line of communication with the manufacturing team is  imperative in this line of business, giving me a great deal of prepress experience.

With my free time I have dedicated myself to building my repertoire in illustration and game design. I have held a place in juried and un-juried shows both at my University as well as in Frederick Maryland. I have continued to build my skills in digital painting and traditional inking. These skills have brought me freelance work both contracted and independent with multiple clients. I have designed logos, album covers, advertisements, and character designs for the local music industry, comic conventions, and authors.

In more recent history I have taken an interest in game development. Following a meeting with a programer at the Frederick Artomatic show in 2016, I entered a game development competition called Ludum Dare for it's 36th run. This challenge required a team or individual to build a game within a 72 hour time limit. The event has been a wonderful experience builder in working with a creative team, managing the creation of a maddening quantity of art assets in a short amount of time, and problem solving. Finding a great deal of inspiration during the project, I continued on to participate in the competition for it's 37th and 38th instance. I have since become a member of their independent gaming company, named Stellar Door Games. In my continued investment into this endeavor I am building my knowledge of 2D illustration, character design, and animation for games as well as pixel animation, tile-designing, and more.

As a young creator at the brink of her career, I believe that I have qualities that could benefit any team I find myself in. I am a quick learner, a diligent worker, and a positive and confident force in a work environment. I eagerly tackle the projects I'm given, and respect and value the work of my team members. I love to be in an environment that challenges me to grow, and I believe there is still plenty of room for me to do so.
